Environment & Energy Policy

DR Hydraulics & Engineering is actively seeking to reduce valuable and costly energy consumption in order to conserve our Planet's vital fuel resources and reduce damaging emissions to our Atmosphere. Our ultimate objective is to contribute to the safeguarding of our valuable energy resources and the Environment for the future generations of our Planet's inhabitants.

DR Hydraulics & Engineering are fully committed to increasing our energy efficiency, thereby reducing damaging environmental impact arising from our fuel consumption.

To meet these objectives we will

  • Increase the awareness of conserving fuel and energy consumption amongst
    every member of our staff.
  • Ensure that all employees practice and pursue energy saving initiatives.
  • Explore the possibility of using alternative fuels wherever and whenever practical and cost effective.

On their part, ALL employees are FULLY encouraged to actively contribute towards these vitally important objectives.

DR Hydraulics & Engineering Environment and Energy Policy will be reviewed annually – or as and when required – to monitor its effectiveness and to ensure that it reflects our ever changing needs and circumstances.

Health & Safety Policy

As a highly responsible and caring employer EVERY member of the staff at DR Hydraulics & Engineering is of paramount importance to us.

ALL of our employees are respected and highly valued - their safety and health demands the same degree of attention and emphasis as that placed on our mainstream activity which encompasses quality, proficiency, efficiency, environmental and financial awareness. We also fully recognize our responsibilities for the health and safety of others who may be affected by our professional working activities.

It is our primary objective to achieve a safe, clean and clear working environment which is free of avoidable work related accidents, hazards, incidents and ill health, and to this end we will continuously strive to pursue improvements.

We undertake to discharge our statutory duties by

  • Identifying hazards in the workplace, assessing the risks related to them and implementing appropriate preventive and protective measures
  • Establishing and enforcing safe methods of working
  • Recruiting and appointing personnel who have the skills, abilities and competence commensurate with their role and level of responsibility
  • Ensuring that all tasks given to our employees are within the range of their skills, knowledge and ability to perform
  • Ensuring that technical competence is maintained through the provision of refresher training as appropriate
  • Promoting awareness of health and safety and of good practice through the effective communication of relevant information;
  • Furnishing the resources which are needed to meet these objectives.
